The book is required and I HIGHLY recommend reading it in its entirety. Students will be required to read portions of it during the year.

TIPS FOR SUCCESS
I have been teaching APUSH for quite a while now and every year I offer tips to students in the beginning for success during the year. Many tips go unheeded and then at the end of the year I ask my outgoing students what they wish they had done at the from the start, advice for incoming students, etc. I VERY much encourage you to take both their and my advice from the beginning instead of learning the hard way. There is no reason to re-invent the wheel! I have included a compiled list of tips and advice from the last two years of students. You will hear my advice at the May meeting and the first week of school.

Recommendations
While not required, most APUSH students also use/read the "Flag Book". This can also be purchased from outgoing students or online.
ISBN# 9781567656602* Some students also recommend REA and the Princeton Review as supplementals. I recommend the following as summer reading or through the year. They are also available on CD and you could easily knock them off by listening to them a little throughout the year.
